CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Avocado toast, huevos rancheros, and chicken and waffle kabob are some of the items on the menu at MUSE Bistro. The MUSE Bistro is a popular brunch, appetizer and alcohol restaurant on the bay.
“Anything we can do to get more traffic and more people enjoying their downtown experiences, the better,” says Monet Love, co-owner of MUSE Bistro.
This inspired a partnership between MUSE Bistro and Sun Sweetened Vegan, a 100% plant-based menu. Chef and owner Charly Pena says this collaboration will allow her company to create more connections with the community.
“Before we rented a small part of the kitchen on the stock exchange here in the city center and only went to the farmers’ market, people could pick up their food in style,” says Chef Pena.
It’s partnerships like this that make a difference. MUSE enables Chef Pena and her team to use the kitchen on days when MUSE does not use it.
“The more different pallets you can serve, the more people will be brought downtown and given more restaurants,” says Monet.
This means more customers come in, sit down and order a meal that they won’t experience during the weekend brunch hours at MUSE.
“This place is completely yours Monday through Wednesday and she really took care of lunch, but she added dinner this week,” says Monet.
This partnership is just the beginning. Chef Pena says she wants MUSE to help teach people how to make delicious vegan foods at home.
Sun Sweetened Vegan is open Monday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., while the MUSE Bistro is open Thursday through Sunday.
