Tuesday’s matchup of Texas men’s basketball against Texas A&M Corpus Christi has been canceled, according to Texas Athletics.
Islanders were forced to stop all program activities to comply with COVID-19 protocols, TAMU-CC Athletics said on Saturday.
“This is disappointing news for everyone involved in our program, but we will continue to prioritize the health and safety of our student athletes,” said TAMU-CC head coach Willis Wilson in the press release.
“We will continue to follow advice from our medical team and NCAA guidelines and look forward to resuming the competition as soon as we can safely do so.”
This is the second opponent for the Longhorns to face COVID-19 issues this season after a matchup against Baylor was postponed on December 13th.
After beating Cade Cunningham and Oklahoma State 77-74, the No. 10 Longhorns will be back on trial against Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas on Saturday June 2nd.
