The Uber-like lawn maintenance app, GreenPal, was introduced in Corpus Christi, which allows homeowners to quickly hire a professional to mow their lawn.
In the app, homeowners can list their lawns along with a service date and specific lawn care requirements.
After a lawn is listed, certified lawn care professionals bid on it without the need to meet the owner in person. Homeowners can then view a supplier’s ratings, ratings, and price before making their decision.
“It’s the easiest way for homeowners to find, plan, and pay for their lawn man,” said Gene Caballero, President of GreenPal.
GreenPal was launched in 2012 and serves customers in over 250 markets in the United States.
Caballero came up with the idea for the app after seeing the success of Uber and Lyft working on the West Coast.
“I’ve been in landscaping my whole life,” Caballero said. “I kind of knew if a person was going to call a stranger to pick them up. Eventually, they’d do the same thing with lawn care.”
The GreenPal app is available free of charge in both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
