Corpus Christi mayor creates task forces to help the community

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Corpus Christi Mayor Paulette Guajardo has established a number of task forces to address specific issues in the ward.

So far, three task forces have been set up. One to address the local environment, one to study animal care, and one to address food insecurity in the city. The mayor says they all have their own mission to help

“They are essential to any city government. I sense that and take time to make sure they are on my agenda if you will, because they have to, they are so important,” Mayor Guajardo said.

Mayor Guajardo says there is another task force at the works, the Mayor Teen Task Force. Guajardo says her own son will chair this body and they are already meeting to discuss what issues they would like to address.
