The Corpus Christi area will receive much-needed rain as severe upper level disruption will invade Texas via northern Mexico and bring showers and thunderstorms to the area, according to the Corpus Christi National Meteorological Service.
Showers and thunderstorms are likely to begin on Friday with rainfall between half an inch and three quarters of an inch.
The chance of rain continues through Saturday, with a high of 80 and a low of 69.
On Sunday there is a 20 percent probability of showers and thunderstorms before 1 p.m. The high is 87 and the low is 72.
The National Weather Service at Corpus Christi estimated the area will receive 4 to 6 inches of rainfall over the weekend with occasional amounts of up to 10 inches.
Monday brings drier air and warmer temperatures.
