Pleasant Valley volleyball player Jade Bennett signs A&M Corpus Christi - Chico Enterprise Record with DI Texas

CHICO – Pleasant Valley Senior volleyball player Jade Bennett will continue to play volleyball on the Texas Gulf Coast.

Bennett signed their letter of intent to play beach volleyball at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi during a signing ceremony on March 26th. The ceremony was held in front of a handful of Bennett’s family and friends at the Center for the Arts on Primary campus.

Texas A&M Corpus Christi is a Division I program of the Big South Conference.

Bennett has played three seasons on the PV varsity volleyball team. She also competed for the Chico Racquet Club’s beach volleyball team.

As a Viking, Bennett racked up 217 kills, 51 blocks, and 31 service aces.

“Jade has been an outstanding Viking on the pitch, in the classroom and as an all-rounder at PVHS for four years. We are so proud of jade we will miss it and look forward to seeing it continue to bloom and grow, ”Deputy Director Joe Gallaty wrote in an email.
