STATELINE, Nevada (AP) – The NHL has postponed the start time of Sunday’s outdoor game between Boston and Philadelphia on Lake Tahoe by an hour to avoid predicting the glorious sunshine for the later afternoon.

The game at Edgewood Tahoe Resort will begin at 11 a.m. PST instead of the originally scheduled local start at 12 p.m.

The league made the announcement on Thursday evening, saying it was in the interests of player safety “based on the sunshine forecast on Sunday with no cloud cover”.

The Colorado Avalanche and Vegas Golden Knights will play on the specially built ice rink on Saturday, followed by the Bruins and Flyers a day later.
