CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Pandemic Thanksgiving may look a little different. Families have been encouraged to gather virtually instead of together to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The pandemic has also affected the incomes of several families.
Several companies are offering a helping hand this year.
The Salvation Army is preparing 400 take-away Thanksgiving meals on Thursday, 11 am to 1:30 pm at 501 Josephine Street.
The 77th Annual Joe Salem Dinner will be served in a drive-up style on Thanksgiving Day, November 26th, from 12pm to 2pm at Sokol Corpus Christi Gym, 5502 Kostoryz. As always, dinner is free and everyone is welcome.
The Vishal Raju Bhagat Foundation is giving away 500 meals next to the Holiday Inn Bayfront Hotel on Shoreline Boulevard on Thanksgiving Day at 12:00.
Walmart, along with leading mobile rewards platform Ibotta, Campbell’s, Butterball and Coca-Cola, is offering a free Thanksgiving meal when you download the Ibotta app.
