Former Corpus Christi Mayor Dan McQueen is now running for the US Senate in Missouri.
McQueen filed documents Monday declaring his intention to seek the open Senate seat in Missouri, Federal Election Commission records show.
Two addresses were used on filing – a P.O. Box in Missouri and a Corpus Christi address – for his McQueen for Congress campaign committee.
McQueen was elected mayor of Corpus Christi in November 2016, but resigned in a Facebook post in January 2017. He served 37 days.
He ran for mayor again in 2018 after announcing a run for the Senate in 2017. In 2019, McQueen announced a run for US Congressional District 20 in Texas.
McQueen described himself as the Missourian of the Kansas City Star.
