Corpus Christi Pride Pet Paw-rade organizers are looking for volunteers

CORPUS CHRISTI – June is Pride Month and there is a parade with four-legged allies.

The Pet Paw Rade begins Saturday, June 12th at 10am at St. Paul United Church of Christ. The fun and celebrations will last until noon.

Pride Corpus Christi is looking for volunteers for the parade.

  • Four parade guides are required to guide walkers and their pets along the parade route and to help them cross the street.
  • Two people are required to distribute Wienerschnitzel hot dogs and spices to the participants.
  • Two people are required to guide participants to the trash cans and recycling units at St. Paul United Church of Christ and along the parade route.
  • Two people are required to assist the ICA radio station during live remote controls, assist the bouncy castle operator, and assist St. Paul Pastor Dana with any needs.

This year’s Pride Parade and Block Party, which usually happens this month, is slated to be on October 9th to give people more time to get vaccinated and of course the weather should be cooler.
