Corpus Christi Heart Ball goes virtual

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – This year’s Corpus Christi Heart Ball is virtual and not in person, but the goal of the event will not change.

The event is a fundraiser for the American Heart Association that helps fund research into cardiovascular disease.

The virtual event will take place on Saturday, March 20th at 6 p.m. and will run until 7.30 p.m.

While it may feel different this year, the group will focus on COVID-19 and hypertension and the cardiovascular complications associated with it.

“This year we have it virtual and we still have a lot of money and we are still auctioning a lot of money and we will still have a good time in the safety of our own homes so we can all party together,” said interventional cardiologist Dr. Travis Taylor.
