CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Salvation Army’s Sara and Dick Rathgeber Hope Center official ribbon cut was held at 1804 Buford Street in Corpus Christi on Wednesday. The location will offer social services for low-income and homeless people and families on the new 29,000 square meter campus.
The mayoress of Corpus Christi, Paulette Guajardo, was among the many speakers today who described the event as historic and long awaited.
“This was the field and here we are today and as Mayor of Corpus Christi, I am so proud to be a partner in making it happen because none of this happens without us all,” said Guajardo.
The Center of Hope includes a family residence wing, veteran residence wing, dining room, children’s computer lab, and more.
