A top ten Texas refugee arrested in Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – A wanted gang member listed as the “Texas Top Ten Fugitive” is now behind bars after being captured by US Marshals in Corpus Christi.

Jaime Alanis, 37, was arrested Tuesday at an apartment in McArdle near SPID.

According to officials from the Gulf Coast Chapter of the US Marshals, they had to break open the door to the apartment where they found him hiding.

Alanis has been on the run since last year. He was wanted from Harris County for robbery and parole violation.

Alanis remains untied at the city’s detention center and is extradited to Harris County later that week.
